How we work

Last updated: September 2026

Starry Mind Academy publishes reflections, teaching materials and contributions from education and care professionals. This page explains how our content is created, how we check it and who is responsible for it.

Who is responsible

Editorial responsibility for everything published on this site lies with Starry Mind Academy. No content is published without being read, assessed and approved by the editorial team.

How we check sources

For every cited source we check that it exists, that it supports what the text claims and that it is referenced correctly. We check authors, years, titles and, where available, the DOI, by opening it. References follow APA 7. Laws and institutional documents link to the official source.

External contributions

The Sguardi Educativi column hosts contributions from external professionals. Every text undergoes editorial review: we check the sources, assess content and clarity and, when needed, ask the author for additions or examples. Changes are always agreed with the author. We may decide not to publish a contribution.

Every author signs a declaration guaranteeing the originality of the text, disclosing any use of artificial intelligence tools and confirming that they have personally verified the cited sources. The opinions expressed in contributions are those of the authors.

Artificial intelligence tools

We use artificial intelligence tools to support editorial and technical work: for example in managing the site, in formal text revision and in organising sources. All published content is subject to human control, and source verification is always carried out by people. We do not publish automatically generated texts without review.

Images

Photographs come from freely licensed archives and always credit the author and the source. The full list of credits is at the bottom of the Reflections page. We do not publish AI-generated images that realistically depict people; any illustrations created with such tools are identified in the caption.
